About our website

Then and Now

Over the last decade our old website adhered to the HTML 4 specification in an effort to make sure that every browser could access our content. Times have changed and we really wanted our new website to take advantage of all the features of modern web browsers. Our new site adheres to the HTML5 specification and takes advantage of CSS3 and Javascript, as well as the jQuery and other frameworks. This allows for new ways to present information and also lets our content work well on tablets and cellphones.

RESIDENCES

Children's Residences

The KidsKare Agency serves children between 8 and 14 years old who are experiencing a variety of challenges at home or in the community. We draw from many different geographical regions and we pride ourselves on our respect for different cultural sensitivities and providing an environment that is fully inclusive. We are committed to quality child rearing practices in a family style setting, with a special focus on maintaining or re-establishing family connections. Our goal is to have children re-integrate back into their homes after treatment or to facilitate foster placements or adoption.

Adult Residences

The KidsKare Agency is extending its programs into adult residences, in an effort to provide quality programming and options for adults in need of supported living. We have had years of success providing individuals with independent living skills and coping strategies, leading to re-integration into the community. We also recognize that some adults will require a continuum of supports throughout their lives and we are able to provide a nurturing family environment, grounded in quality care and a commitment to life long learning. Community integration and independence skills have always been a cornerstone of our programs.
