The KidsKare Agency serves children between 8 and 14 years old who are experiencing a variety of challenges at home or in the community. We draw from many different geographical regions and we pride ourselves on our respect for different cultural sensitivities and providing an environment that is fully inclusive. We are committed to quality child rearing practices in a family style setting, with a special focus on maintaining or re-establishing family connections. Our goal is to have children re-integrate back into their homes after treatment or to facilitate foster placements or adoption.
The KidsKare Agency is extending its programs into adult residences, in an effort to provide quality programming and options for adults in need of supported living. We have had years of success providing individuals with independent living skills and coping strategies, leading to re-integration into the community. We also recognize that some adults will require a continuum of supports throughout their lives and we are able to provide a nurturing family environment, grounded in quality care and a commitment to life long learning. Community integration and independence skills have always been a cornerstone of our programs.
The KidsKare Agency is committed to personal growth as a on-going process. The staff will support individuals in acquiring and maintaining those skills necessary to cope more effectively with the demands of their lives, family and environment. We will also strengthen their abilities to function independently, as an active participant in the community. We are dedicated to the concept of healthy, active living balanced with the development of social skills, independent living skills, emotional management skills and coping skills. Individuals are given the opportunity to enjoy a broad cross-section of extra curricular activities based on their personal interests and abilities. It is through the combination of a consistent, secure environment and a caring, supportive relationship, that an individual’s needs and on-going treatment will be successful.
